Question opinions on cutout grill section

what is your opinion on the looks of a cutout grill section? one big hole v. 2 small holes

Looks great with an intercooler filling the hole, otherwise I can't imagine it looking any better then it does on the ga-zillion imports with nasty looking radiators lurking behind a misplaced body kit.

haha ya thats all thats behind mine is the 'nasty looking radiator.' wonder if cooling is improved with the big hole? i dont have any of the radiator plastic, bumper support, or a/c condensor

i met a guy who got flexible vent tubing that went from the holes and dumped air right in front of the filter

this pic is credited to kidcamaro98 who i believe parted out this turbo v6.
IMO dont cut it out unless you have a big intercooler to put in there

im not cutting it out for looks. although my cuts are clean and it looks professionally done haha. cut it out for cooling efficiency

Are you having a problem cooling now? If not, then leave it alone.. Unless you're going FI, as previously stated..

the one i was talking about was like (photoshopped it but u get the idea). the "fins" were cut out and sanded down. i actually have an extra one of these, i think im going to try this, sand the whole thing completely smooth, and do a gloss black. it would probably look just like the SLP one if i threw some emblems on it

no im not having any cooling probs. ive just seen pics in threads where they cut out the center section and installed a billet grill

hlaalu, u could also buy the wings west grill which is also smooth. it would save u the wrk of modifying the stock piece

didn't know they made just the grills? but i have an extra bumper with a grill in it anyways and i like doing stuff like this

ya they do make just grills. i have one but i removed it, but hey if u like doing stuff like that, more power to ya
