Has anyone put a 335 section width tire on the back of a Camaro?
i got 17x11 TTIIs and 315s on them. rubs a little on the bumper block thing, but when you lower the car its ok. looks like theres a little more room, but the fit is TIGHT. ill check it out tomorrow and double check the clearance.
I am actually wanting to run a 335/25YR19 on the back. I'm guessing it would be a 19x12 wheel?
The car will be lowered with Eibach springs.
I have seen 325s I the rear before... GM fit some 335s on there too for there ZL1 car. They made it fit without to much mods, I think they just rolled and trimmed the fender lip...

The ZL1 actually has flared rear fenders.
I don't think it's very possible to fit 335s in the back without modification. Most people with 315s have to bang the wheelwell or roll the fender lip (or both). 335s are almost a full inch wider. You'd have to have that full inch of width towards the inside of the car, which means you'll need another inch of wheelwell clearance all around. That's a LOT of beating plus I don't know what's on the otherside of the wheelwell all around the circumference of the tire/wheel.
If you chose to have the wheels stick out that extra inch instead, you'd have to flare the fenders.
All of these conditions are hurtin' even worse when you lower the car.
Good luck if you do it, it's gonna take a good bit of work, I think. Also, for the record, I don't think anyone has 19x12s in the back, that I've ever heard of in the past few years, at least.
Heh, I was looking up the tire height of a 335/25/19. Stock height, but christ, the price caught my eye. I could only find one tire in that size (Pirelli Pzero) and they are over $400 A PIECE.
But, I guess, if you can afford HREs, you can afford 400$ tires too

The more answers I get the more confused I get. Keep the replies coming but if worse comes to worse I will talk to someone at HRE about sending me a damaged center with several different inner and outer lips (maybe slightly damaged or new unfinsihed ones) and order one tire and try it.

I have 315's on 11" ZR1 wheels with the GS offset. They tuck in nicely under the fenders but did originally have some rubbing issues in the inner fenders. I was able to take care of that with a sledge hammer and then re-undercoat the areas. I also had to roll the fenderlips some.
I don't like the way the ZR1 offset wheels stick out, however, they would help with the inner fender issues but create more outer fender problems. Plus they do stick out some.
To sum it up in my opinion, the 335's would be more trouble than they're worth. To get 315's to totally not rub in any situation (loads, hard cornering, etc.) is enough work in itself. Unless you keep your car at stock height (mine's lowered), or get an offset that allows the tires to go beyond the fender's outer edge (a look I hate), or just put up with some rubbing (I won't), I'd stay with the 315's.
One more note. I originally had Dunlop 315's and replaced them with Yokohama tires. The Yoko's were a good bit larger and I had to do a little reworking of the fenders again.
Good luck!
The Pirelli 335/25 19 section width is 13.2" when mounted on a 12" wheel.
Now, even though the 335 is mounted on a 12" rim compared to the others being an 11" it doesnt matter because we are actually looking at the measurement for the section width, right?
By just looking at the section width of the majority of the 315s it would look like I only need to gain a little over .5" of clearance to get these to fit.
Can that be gained by rolling the fenders and hammering the inner fender wells.
Does this sound right?

Any progress made on this so far? I was looking at the same thing, 18x12 rear 545's with the 335. Maybe trying to put them on an 18x11.5 would be better. I have 295's on a 10.5" rim right now. I have a lot of clearance on the outside, but slightly rub on the inside with the offset of the wheels I have on the car right now. I havent rolled my fenderlip either. I'll try to find out what the offset of these are. I think they would be about the best off set we could run, and hope it makes it inside the fenderlip on the outside.
By the way, do you still deal with the HRE's? Im going to need to order a set soon.

I already had the fender lip rolled, but I had to beat the hell out of the inner fenderwall. I painted over where I hammered, went out, drove it, turned hard to try & make it rub, drive home, and hammered some more. It is a pain, but I dont rub unless I turn hard, or have someone heavy in the pasenger seat. I have Eibach pro springs.
I have some good pics, if someone wants to host them for me. The tires def make a visual statement. I get coments all the time.

Damn things make my 315/35/17 Nitto 555R's look small!
