Looks good, that's a winter project for me with my FAST. I had done that with my old LS6 intake.

Installed along with the color matched lid...

Looks really good! Since my cars a 2000 it didn't come with the LS6 intake, so Id have to wait to get one before I actually paint one.. I thought about painting alot of the stuff in the engine bay flat black to make it all disappear.. I want to keep it really simple and not flashy at all..

Not as much has as it is a delicate process in order not to break anything.

Think of it as the game operation but leaning over a fender.

Most people snap the oil sending unit in the back of the intake because they forget to disconnect something or they get too heavy handed trying to remove the intake.

yeah, I knew something was there after reading lots of posts, and still snapped it when the vacuum line pulled on it (not even connected) because it was routed right behind it. . . Thanks for the props.

I paid 60 through NAPA to replace it. . . Check the other places first!

$46 at Autozone but if you have a NAPA there and need a socket that is the best place to get it. The one at AZ does not fit correctly and your only other choices are snap on or mac. NAPA socket is under $10, the others are $40+ if you can hunt them down.
