Exclamation LT1 Clear Tailights

Anyone got this mod? Instead of red the inside is chrome. Or perhaps anyone knows how to make them look chrome from inside?

on the NON-honeycombed lights.. there is a red insert that you can just take out. if you search for LT1 LED taillights or something of the sort you should be able to find out more.

yeah i heard the t/a LT1 tail lights are three pieces

tail light lens
red insert
back housing

so you should be able to remove the red plastic insert to get the affect you desire

ive never done it myself, but from pics it looks like it is just placed inside with minimal adhesive

so you should be able to break the adhesive hold some how

i would worry more about taking it apart, removing the red should be easy

As log as you run red lamps you will be fine. If you ran the clear lenses with clear lamsp then you would have problems.

actually, you need red lights AND red reflectors, incase your tail lights burn out. this is what car manufacturers have done on their cars with clear tails.

isnt the bottom in that picture the reflector though? also, we have separate rear side markers unlike some cars so you are good there. im sure you'll pass. also, looks a lot better on those lt1s than stock.

Sorry pics dont look badass. I took it with my camera phone.

I just did the passenger to see how it was going to look. It looks awesome on the daylight, but when darkness strikes and I turn on the lights...it doesnt look that great...Not much red, more like a chrome red...
