I have a question regarding paint damage
This isnt one of my most technical questions and i am a little paranoid, or arent I.
I have always had it going through my head that too much dirt will hurt your pain....this is true i know, but this much dirt?
I wash and polish/wax my car every week just about. Now comes sunday night and i didnt wash it this weekend. I have a total of a 40 mile trip to school, now if i drive 2 days this week, without washing my car will this hurt my paint. I ask because i look at it now and its at that point where there arent marks on the car but if i run my finger over the car it turns black from that film of dirt you get from driving around. If i dont wash it soon will i get damage to the paint??? Or can i wait and everyitng will be ok next time i wash it?

Re: I have a question regarding paint damage
the only thing I can think of that would be bad is if you let the dirt cake your paint so much, it becomes hard to remove when washing. If you try to use a cloth or chamois to wipe off the dirt w/soap and water you might put tiny scratches in your paint. for myself, I don't let dirt build-up too much, since I keep it covered most of the time. Hope this helps <img src="gr_sad.gif" border="0">

You will be fine...the only thing that you want to look out for is the salt, so after yesterday I would say get the car washed this weekend. Relax from the post I can tell that you have always taken good care of your car, so don't sweat it...Michael
