Default Painting the Valve Covers.......should I bake?

When painting the valve covers with high temp paint, would baking the paint on be a good idea? I know they get super damn hot, and I don't think the paint would hold up otherwise. Anybody ever done it without baking? TIA

I did one set with high temp blue and didnt bake and worked great! They didnt even smoke after the install, for my car I went with a polished set from Speed Inc. <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">

If you use VHT 500 degree engine paint it'll work fine. No baking needed. They dont get *that* hot.

Mine have been fine after a year.
