sparco fuel door

I did search and the only threads that I found were about the Eclipse door. My question is, has anyone used this Sparco door on their car and were any modifications needed?

I like that and the fact that it locks as well. I have the Eclipse door on my 93 and the benefit of it is that it already had the bend for the fender where as the Sparco looks flat even though they say it will work on the 99-02

they do make locking gas caps too you know. do the eclipse door with a locking cap??

I'm pretty sure when you bolt it in there the metal will be pliable enough to bend into the right shape... but no promises

^^It is available locking or non locking. That is not my main concern, fitment is. Also if there is a better product out there other than an Eclipse door, I would prefer that.

It says it fits our cars so get it and then if it doesn't send it back... They'd have to do a full refund and include shipping both ways.

Yeah this thing is more for looks I guess, I have a locking gas cap and very happy with it.

After installing that gas cap on my buddies 63 Vette GS Tribute car, I don't even see how that would work . . .

Reason being is the "door" IS the gas cap . . . . it has a rubber plug on the end that slips in to the "funnel" and the little lever in the center releases / apply the pressure on the rubber "cork" . . . .

Unless you modified the fuel inlet to the car, which then would not pass emmissions (at least in IL it wouldn't) . . . .
