I don't have one yet but think most people do it in a place where a thief would not look or would take longer to find

That looks like a good spot. You could also put it by the backseat right underneath where the seats hands over.

I mounted a friends underneath the driver seat. Convenient and easily hidden.

I used one of these

Its a Cyclops engine disabler..It replaces one of teh relays in your engine compartment either fule or ignition ...and the other cool thing is that you can put the activation "button" anywhere you want. Mines about the size of a quater and I have velcro on teh back so it sticks to any fabric in the car.

As a matter of practice I move mine all the time all over the car.

The car will not start without pushing the button
do a search on emerging enterprises or search Cyclops TAM

I would probably keep it near the console... That was if I was just going to interrupt the starter wire (already running through there for automatics, it is the reason your car must be in park).

Personally I would run two and make it a combination style (one "on" one "off" in otherwords just orientated differently) to cut down on someone finding it AND getting it to work...

Just picture yourself putting the front seat up and then look to the right and place it right under where the seat hangs over.
