I like this "Rai" fellow.
I agree 100% with what he says, and i also can see how the side profile could be a problem too, but i think Rai has the best answer we could hope for.
I would really like to see some kind of rough PS from the side if someone has those kind of skills. I would do it myself but i'm limited to a laptop with a crappy touch pad right now.
Also forgot to mention, IMO, i would lose the "TRANS AM" decal from the spoiler and keep the orig 4th gen bird on the center peice, maybe a bit larger after filling in the key hole. Then fill in the "PONTIAC" in the bumper cover and replace it with a 4th gen "Trans Am" decal.
Damn i wish i was at a decent confuser right now...

However the sides on both the RK Sport and yours RAI (While looking better) is not what I am going for.
Look at the Heritage one. It has flat tabs, which keeps with the old style. Also the rear is supposed to have a trailing lip to the back lights and be flat.
I was thinking of blending the sides more into the body and keeping them attached to the side of the car. This would remove the lip seen on the Heritage that i think it out of place on those sides.
However I think the back one needs to have that flat flare down to the rear bumper tails for it to really hold the heritage styling.

i would just go with the !rai, even though i agree that flat sides would look a little better

this subject is not simply black and white, to me i really do not see "that" big of a difference between the standard and the flat ends
yeah i know its all in the details but givin the amount of work it would need, it does not look appealing to go with the flat edges.
especially when i personally wouldn't mind either sides, because they both look just as good in my opinion
