ET Streets/Drags on a daily driver?
Quick comments...
1) Stay away from bfg dr's. they suck in the rain, and last like 3000 miles on the street, the 1000 miles they are really bad for taking corners... car will kick out. i would only get bfg's if I was only running them at the track or wealthy.
2) Nitto dr's rock. they can last 8-15,000 miles, cut 1.5's, and drive great in rain. keep them at 25psi and you they will go 10,000 miles or more.
3) et streets will last 3000 miles on the street, but street driving will make them hard. they pick up rocks like crazy, don't tailgate someone on these tires otherwise you will get rock chips on your car. bad in rain, really dangerous above 30mph because you won't feel it kick out and you can't really steer out of it.
They hook like all hell on concrete..just do a good burnout in some mountain dew, back into the rubber, and you're off.
I had a pair of them on and the middles were mostly gone..drove in a rainstorm that had me going through a flooded out part of a street that had enough water in it to make me worry about my motor..and I got through it with them..I thought that was pretty damn good.
WeatherGuy, im running 245/50/16 nittos and they dont hook up much from a stop at all. I am not putting down much power at all so I dont see why they are breaking loose so much. With 235 stock tires I could sometimes chirp 3rd with the converter and 3.73's, but with the dr's I cant even chirp second. But still all of first gear is basically no traction, if I roll into it the launch usually bogs down. I might put down as much rwtq as you with h/c and a 75 shot, but I wont be spraying off the line so if your 422 is holding up with 315 nittos on the street..that might be the way to go for me. Do your nittos hook up pretty well on the street, are they 17 or 15" rims? Anyone fender rolling or wheel well banging to make them fit? Thanks!

When it was warmer, and particularly on concrete, they actually hooked well. I had lots of fun leaving the toll boths on those things. Nothing like pulling a 0-90 on a highway in, say, 5.5 secs or so
I haven't had a chance to really test them out with the 422 since it has gotten a lot warmer since my car has been in the shop
