Its Over for ME!
Thank you for all the replys. I will have a nice have a nice little photoshoot soon. My buddy is very into photography. he's got a lot of cool equipment. He wants to do some rolling shots. But, right now I'm actually on vacation in Hollywood, FL. I'm missing my new car

As for the trade-in value, No i did not try to sell it privately. I really didnt think I would get more than 7000 anyway. MAYBE from the right person, but then that involves waiting around. This was the exact G8 I wanted. Had every option available, the color i wanted, and the 19" wheels. There were no other G8s like it within a 100 miles of me. My trans am had slome problems that a regular person probably wouldnt have liked.
1: No A/C
2: 3 seperate trouble codes (air pump, knock sensor, theft deterent)
3: terrible gear whine at almost all speeds.
4: transmission WAS NOT SHIFTABLE in weather below 30ish. And if youre going to beat on it, it needed to be VERY warm.
5: Headlight had just stopped popping up
6: my 18s were completely ruined and my 16s were almost the same and had drag radials on them. (I still have them, thinkking about selling)
I'm probably gonna get **** for this. I know some of you will say they were all minor issues. haha. I had my fun though, maybe some day i'll own another.... or a Corvette

Its sounds like you got a decent trade in for it! How many miles were on it? I dont think you could have sold it for what they gave you for it....BUT I am sure you know it wasnt real money...they add a little to the price of the new car to make it look better. But its always so much easier to just trade than to have to deal with a bunch of low balling tire kicking dreamers!

X3 on a good offer. A guy kept asking me about it. Told him 30K he told a buddy. "if i throw $28K in is face he'll take it" i said your damn right! lol never heard anything since. Though i didnt push the issue...not like i would make anything on the deal

I likes the ta better cause it looked like a red version of mine but the g8 is nice too. Short of a cts v its the only other 4 door I like. Twice Ive seen them eat a 05-06 gto at the track.

Verdad Gallardo I'm thinking of doing something like this after my next deployment, when I can pay off my other car. I'm getting tired of the T/A, its way too rough around the edges for me to like driving it every day any more. I really would like a G8, it has the power but also the comfort too.
Honestly when I bought my Firehawk I THOUGHT I wanted to DD a F-Body again...that took about two months to get old! These cars are GREAT "fun" cars but unless your 18-21yo they suck to DD!
Car looks great and congrats. My TA has been paid off for a while so I was lucky to keep the TA and pick up the G8. They are very different cars and I love each of them for their own purpose.
I will admit I was giving a lot of attention to the G8 when I first got it but I'm slowly creeping back to my TA. Just purchased a new S60 rear for it instead of headers for the G8.

imo good choice g8 over gto. hope your g8s wheels and all stay ok. new jersey sucks for cars. i'd never live above virginia just because of what it could do to my car in the winter lol.
