thats a good idea, it will keep the underside from getting exhaust soot from getting on the floorpan.

Looks great man!

I was considering doing this myself. What I really want to know is if it cures the dreaded "tractor" exhaust note when the car is accelerating under load. I love the way my open cutout sounds at WOT, Idle, and engine braking, but at part throttle under load it sounds like *****.

Let us know the results!

I didn't notice any substantial difference with or without it...

Obviously, I'd prefer to run it, since it protects the underside of the car...

Been running a turn-down since I installed my cut-out. Didn't wanna cook the underside of my car.

Works like a charm with my QTP e-cutout.

Some of you guys have a nice setup with that turn down.

This is the reason I'm doing it in the pic..the Muffler Shop welded the Cutout piping on and it's retarded. Now that I have the Exhaust off of the Car I'm re-doing it and making it look a hell of alot better..

don't have an electric cut-out, but did put a turn down on the flange. I like it a lot more. also I thought it was interesting. the turn down changed the noise and tone a little bit too. Made it sound a little smoother and took out the "poppiness".

This is what I did. Works great, and who cares about closing the cut out? Really. Lol.

Exactly what i will ad this spring when i weld the last part of the exhaust. The first time i went under the car i noticed that the rear end gets realy dirty thanks to the exhaust that comes straight on to it!
