i can't wait to put the car on the ground with those iForged's and my Sunoco hood on it. it'll be a whole new vehicle.
....on a slightly more discouraging note, my motor WAS done and about to ship. the builder noticed a "noise" while turning it over by hand and discovered some sort of manufacturing flaw in the head gaskets. he got on the phone with Cometic and bitched them out, so now we're waiting for new head gaskets, then the motor is in the mail!
i also ordered a Tick Performance clutch master cylinder today, it should compliment the work they did to my T56 nicely
All i lack now as far as hard parts go is an intake, clutch, driveshaft, and a tune. i'd like to throw an electric H2O pump on there too, but i dunno if i'll have the money. i got a wild hair up my *** and looked into getting a March front drive kit, but i got stopped dead in my tracks when i saw the ~$2500 price tag i want to get some drag shocks and new springs for the rear, as well as a better torque arm, but those aren't necessary to make the car run & drive, so they'll have to way...

yeah i had a new 92/92 combo, but sold it thinking i was going to get that fiber-tuned intake that Nitro Dave's was selling. since then there have been a couple less-than-impressive dyno tests with that piece, as well as a track test. i know they're doing their best to make it right and are coming along, but i'm going to go back with a FAST, this time i'm not going to mess with the DIY stuff and just have Vengeance port one and paint it too so it'll be ready to go right out of the box. i've gotten pretty good at porting them, but i don't feel like wasting my time on this one, not that it's wasted time...just time i don't want to spend.

True enough. That fiber-tuned piece looks gorgeous though. I was actually looking to pick yours up, but I didn't have enough money for it. I'm still not sure whether to go ported 90/90, 92/92, or ported 92/92. I don't really know if I can justify the extra money (which is running very low). Do you know roughly how much of a gain each one would be on a ported TFS 215 setup with a retardedly big cam? (Sorry for the huge hijack)
i ported my FIRST 90mm intake on my car. pay attention here: it made 393rwhp before the FAST through a 10-bolt. i added the ported FAST AND A MOSER 9" with 4.11's, and the car made 417rwhp without touching the tune. that's 24 observed rwhp gained...actual gains would have probably been closer to 30rwhp had i left the 10-bolt in.
90mm intakes and 92mm intakes are 100% identical EXCEPT: 2mm increase in TB opening and the 92 has threaded brass bungs in the TB flange so you dont have to use a nut and bolt to secure the TB. that's pretty much it. The porting will dramatically increase performance, well worth the money spent.
...and FWIW when i bolted on some PRC stg. 2.5 5.3 heads, i shot up to 452rwhp. same cam, intake, everything. you should see very similar results with those TFS heads as far as peak #'s go. i "only" had a 231/237 cam with under .600" lift.

That info is great to know. I wonder what kind of gains would be seen from a ported 90 to a ported 92...since the inlet is only 2% (ish) larger. I suppose that I should definitely spend the extra money to get my intake ported. The heads / cam will lilkely benefit more than your old setup - the cam has a crazy duration, and .61x lift...
Thanks for the help!

no problem. make sure a reputable person ports it, or they could hurt your performance. i seriously doubt that you would see any gains by opening up the TB opening 2mm. i don't think you can get a 90mm intake anywhere anymore anyway, at least not NEW. the 92 is a better piece. i'm going to have mine opened up to 100mm anyway so it doesn't matter too much. i've already got a 100mm MAF and i'll have a lid if i have to make it myself, so my entire intake tract will be 100mm. when you do that to the FAST though, you can't run a o-ring style gasket because the porting gets into the seal's groove...so you gotta make a gasket yourself out of paper gasket material, not a big deal at all though, and i think the extra 8mm will do me good considering i'm feeding 454 cubic inches.

there ARE a couple shops/individuals. i have no idea what they charge. one guy is Jeremy Formato, you'll have to search for him, i can't remember what shop he works for. there are others, you'd just have to search around.
