Default Vht Nightshade

I have heard a few people talk about wet sanding prior to putting on nightshade but I don't understand what they mean. Wouldn't sanding the taillights cause scratches to occur? And is wetsanding just putting water on the sander?

I'm definetly a newbie when it comes to painting so please help me out.

Thanks.

Lightly wetsand and no because when you put the nightshade on it will make it stick better and cover the scratches. Just make sure you don't sand the **** outa it or youll have issues with the 3rd brake light, use like a 1000 or 2000grit sandpaper, just get it wet and sand lightly after u clean whatever ur sanding with soap and water. Thats really all you need to do, also id clear coat after putting the nightshade on.
