A4 T-Handle Removal- How to?
<strong>Put the car in 1st gear. Look at the front of the shifter and you will see what looks like a staple in the shifter. Use a small flat blade screwdriver to work it out. After you get it out far enough you can pull in out with your fingers. Pull the **** off.</strong><hr></blockquote>That is the correct way to do it.
One more question once I get it off will the little clamp go back in or ?
I am attempting putting a Grandprix leather shift boot in place of the ghetto plastic shifter setup on my 2000 TA I would hate to get it off and not get it back on.

I hate these stock shifters in A4 cars. Thay just dont feel right..... I would like to put a B&M Quicksilver(like in my 68 RS) b/c I like the feel of it and it is different.
