i apoligize for some of the pics. they are kind of blurry
basically i got that handle off the seat finally, but in the process the spot welds or whatever hold the nut to the seat frame broke. so now i'm wondering what i should use to put the nut back into the seat frame. i had thought about soldering it back in, but would JB weld work better?
here's how the other side looks

and here's the side that is broken

well i went with the JB weld that isn't quick dry stuff. i figure that will make it stronger. i put some in the little divots and on the edges but kept it away from the threads so none would ooze in there. i have it sitting overnight clamped down with vice grips. if it holds in the morning i'll probably add some to the sides to reinforce it. i gotta wait a few more days for the handle since i was sent the wrong one by mistake but i hope to get that straigthened out soon

yeah and the passenger side rear seat release handle screw stripped and then in the process of removing the screw/bolt, the nut that it goes into broke free from the seat. as long as i can get the new handle tightened down, i'll be fine since that holds it tight against the metal, but its just a matter of getting it to that point since that screw is pretty hard to turn. i might need to oil the bolt before it goes in or something.
