Default Should I paint the water pump?

I was getting ready to paint my water pump tonight, but after I cleaned if off it really doesn't look to bad. I've painted the alt. bracket and that's the paint I would use.

What do you think? It's clean but doesn't have the bright new aluminum look that I would like. I just can't make up my mind.
Thanks,
Scott

That pump looks bran-spankin new compared to mine. I think it looks fine as is.

I would probably go ahead and paint it a bright sliver.

Might as well paint it to "brighten it up" so that it matches.

Yep looks better . I'm debating if I should do mine in gunmetal, red, or just do it silver.

Thanks,
The paint is VHT flame proof header paint and the color is flat aluminum part #SP117. 8 bucks from NAPA.

Thank you. I was trying to not have the spray paint the crap out of everything look. I might find a nicer tensioner and housing though.

To late now. If the paint peels it will give me an excuse to buy an electric pump.
