Default High Temp Paint For Whistler Mod?

Just wondering If I'll need a high temp paint when I do the whistler on the car? Not sure how warm it will get in there with the lights. I've had paint bubble and flake off a set of T/A Fogs that I did in the past.

Thanks guys

unless you already have some regular plastic paint around the house, then just get some high temp paint when you buy some for peace of mind

high temp paint is not needed. regular spray paint is able to take the heat of being in the sun, which is hotter than what your headlights will do.

i do recommend using a water based paint though. When i did the whistler headlights it looked great for a month or two, but then i started getting this oily residue on the inside of my lenses. i removed the lenses and cleaned it, but that lasted a month or two again, and now its back.

I hear this is a common issue with whistler modded headlights.

I haven't had this happen yet but I can believe that some out gasing can occur in the light if they sit in the sun alot...
