I did it myself. It is the same bird that's on the front license plate cover. Actually, the lid is for sale if you want it. I have it sitting on a shelf in my basement right now if you're interested.

If you have one that is, check to see if it has the added foam gasket. You may not need that gasket in there. Also make sure it is installed correctly. There have been issues in the past where they were not seated properly with the side lip position.

I'm not gonna post up all the photos of the lids that I've done over the years, but if ya wanna see a few, check out pages 5-8 in my Webshots album; http://rides.webshots.com/album/265016994MLlQBz

Ok so all the current slp lids are the new, revised ones correct? If i order their lid it will be the upgraded version.

Should be. I suppose there's the small chance that the vendor you buy it from has some really old stock, but highly unlikely, ...

If you buy them directly from SLP, I can tell you that yes, it'll be the new one. I've gotten two of them from there in the last two weeks & they're both the newer design.

Can you make me one of those a/c drier covers like that? I didn't see that one on your site.

Simple gloss black and clear coat. Hope to get alot of stuff matching under the hood sometime soon , and hopefully will make the hood not match the lid too this summer

I like where this is going. Keep them coming.

Is the surface on the SLP lid slightly ruff or is it smooth? How would it hold up to some vinyl graphics?

Just got mine back from paint a couple weeks ago. I haven't had a chance to get them on yet but I'm hoping to get that taken care of tomorrow.

How about black, with orange/white highlights, ..., NBM w/white, ..., red/chrome/black/SS, ..., & black w/brushed-metal-like vinyl. Quick photos, no detail set-up on the shots, so there may be some dust specs on them.)
(I haven't shown the matching FRC's for the Blackwing lid because they are not thru the clearcoat process yet. I'll update next week. This is simply hobby work.)
