Does anyone have the summit racing seats?
These seats are a good price.
I can probably get a set of 2 for under 250 with brackets.
I just want to see if anyone has had them in there car before I buy them.
Thanks,
Ken

Ken,
I would try asking in the Drag Racing forum.. anyone with these seats are most like hard core racers and do not frequent the bling bling forum
I would imagine though they are light, hold you in position well and are TERRIBLE for a long trip..

The difference there is the thigh support adjuster on my Formula's driver's side. The Jaz seats I got from Summit last year weigh 17#'s with the Jaz brackets modified by me (non-adjustable). Stuff a pillow behind you and they are liveable. Some guys use them for daily use...not me. I am a hardcore guy on weight reduction, but I can swap out both my seats in less than 10 minutes with my air ratchet.
If you want a lightweight seat for everyday comfortable use, I'd spend the big bucks and get some better seats. On the other hand, save the money and swap out for banzai days at the track. Take care.

Re: Does anyone have the summit racing seats?
FWIW...
I just was sitting in one of those summit seats in a friends car a work.
They are really not that bad. Now, I dont know how they would be on a long road trip, but I think with the way my car is now I would be getting a headache before I was uncomfortable in the seat.

Re: Does anyone have the summit racing seats?
I have the momo t-frames, which are pretty light and I use them every day. Probably are only a couple of pounds heavier than the summit seats. If you want a light daily seat I think that a fixed seat by corbeau (forza or forza II), momo, or sparco would probably be best, plus they are made for 5 points.
