Painting interior pieces
Painting interior pieces Hey guys, I figured this would be the best place to ask....I want to paint my TA bezel and the window swich pods silver to match my SSM '02 SS and am wondering where the best place is to get matching paint and what kind of primer and clear coat should I use to make then as durrable as possible. As for the paint, I would think you need to sue factory GM paint, and I have no clue what primer is needed. For normal paint, all you do is scuff up the plastic a litlle with a scuffing pad, not sand paper. I know a good paint shop on Stevens Creek that could prolly help you get the color.

Re: Painting interior pieces I used regular spray paint and primer when I painted the interior of my car. Being that its 3:38am I cant think of what color SSM is right now but being as my car is red i didnt have a hard time getting the paint to match. Oh yeah dont forget to sand down the pieces that you plan to paint.
Re: Painting interior pieces I also live in Cupertino, just off Miller. I wasnt sure about the sanding thing on the plastic, but I will scuff up the plastic before I primer it and wipe it down with some cleaner too. I need to know of what brand or type of primer/paint/clear coat I need to do this. Let know of that paint shop and I can give them a call.
