I also read on here that SLP re-designed their lids in order to prevent the rubbing.

Mine didn't rub until I painted it. That shows you how close it sits to the hood.

I don't have an SLP lid but mine doesn't rub.. What you can do is get some clay, put it thinly across wherever you think the lid is being rubbed, and continuously open and close your hood. If there's marks in the clay, then you know for sure. It's easier to tell with that.

when i bought the car it had a small piece of felt on the lid so i pulled it off yesterday and could see a few rub marks on the lid. I did the clay thing with the felt on and it did rub the hood but after taking the felt off i could not get the hood to hit the clay. So maybe since i put the TNT kit and different bellow on it wont rub anymore.

My SLP was on my car when i bought it, and it rubbed till i loosed up the bellows and shoved it as far in as i could, and actually got it to fit the way it was suppose to fit. The lower plastic should be outside the top lid, then it clamps. No problems after that.

this is what you need to do:

grind or sand off the lip on the MAF so the lid fits on there completely. problem sovled

Yeah i think alot of people assume its supposed to go over the whole thing. I figured that out when re-installing it, but i couldnt get the clips to shut all the way so i knew something wasnt right.
