Default Anyone tried Nitto drag radial 305/45/18?

I might upgrade to a set of 18" Timeless 5's (don't ask ), and the only drag radial that Nitto makes for 18's is 305/45R18". I've played with the calculator at www.f-body.org, and this taller tire would give me an effective gear ratio on the street of 3.31:1 compared to my 3.73's. This wouldn't be bad, IMO, since I can't completely hook now. With the PT4400 going in on Friday, traction will really be limited! I'm more concerned with how it would look. The tire diameter is just over 3" larger (28.8070" vs. 25.6614") with the 305 vs. the 275. I would run 275/35/18's on the front, FWIW. Do you think the car would look too ghetto with that much added heigh in the rear? It would be nice to fill some more of the wheel well, though. Also, what about fitment of the 305 on a 9.5" width rim? I think it would bow a little, but it would fit okay. thoughts???

LMAO! I've already convinced myself to go w/ 275/35/18's if I upgrade. I don't have hydros to go along w/ the huge rake. I'm not the "phat dubs director" for nothing.

That would be one tall A$$ tire..

I think it was actually developed for the lightning.. they have a 295 version as well..

Problems: Would throw off speedometer given the larger diameter of the tire..

Might cause problems due to the different size between the front tire and back tire.. They would spin at considerably different speeds and this could confuse the ABS (which is programmed for like sized tires)..

Eventually they will come out with a 295/35/18 drag radial.. think of all the Z06's that would benefit from them??
