Default Headlight Blackouts.

They may be my only option to shield the projectors from road debries so that I don't have to custom fab the front sheild on my HID projector installation project.

How much light do the Smoke tinted ones block?

2nd question... where the hell is the Fbody horn? I think mine just died. all it does is make a pathetic "phooop" if it does anything at all. Car starts without issue so its not a low battery.

Horn is on the pass. side a little below the battery and then a little forward behind the foglight. Hard to explain... as for the second question I think the tinting would negate any effect gained by the H.I.D.s...

yeah I'd go with clear ones if anything. Also I think there's some protective film somewhere out there you can get that might work well.

the covers are going to be a weather protection deal as well as road debris. I figured the smokes would absorb a good bit of the light but just wanted confirmation.

yeah i had smoked covers on my first car and it makes the headlights useless. When they were on I got more light from my $40 autozone 'fog' lights.

Definitely go with a clear lens. Smoked lenses will block light and trap heat.
