Default opinions on TA wheels

I need some help picking out wheels for my ram air TA. The car will be Sebring Silver
Metallic with flat black racing stripes. My first choice for wheels is the chrome Z06's, with
17's in the front and 18's in the back. I don't know if I like the 18's though, because it looks
bad with a really small tire. I really want the vintage musclecar look, with big tires in the
back making it sit up higher. I want that sort of stance. My second choice of wheels are the
Torque Thrust II's, with 17's all around. If I go that route, I'm going to get the back end
up real high and get some bigger tires. I don't want drag slicks, but just larger than stock.
Another route would be to get 17" Z06's all around with bigger tires. I'm really partial to
the Z06 wheels. Any input or info would be appreciated.

All the wheel combinations you are looking at would look really sharp on tha TA.

17" Troque Thrusts. Cool!
17" ZO6's. Cool!
17" 18" ZO6 Combo. Sweet!
18" ZO6 all around! Awesome! But I'm partial.

The idea of taller tires in the back, IMHO I do not like the look of that. Wider tires in the back looks great. Plus messing wiht the tire height screws up your speedo and lowers your gear ratio. Just my 2 cents.

Here is another option.. a nice change from the usuall TT2 thing..

Sorta high tech and retro at the same time.. very reasonalbly priced also.. made by B. (boyd) Coddington ..

Here is a shot of my car with 18".. it has a very nice subtle rake to it..

Maybe this is incorrect...but isn't it neccesary to keep all the wheel sizes the same for the
anti-lock brakes to work ???

Vettes (Z06) are programed differently to have 17" fronts and the huge 18" wheels out back..

Jason

ABS is not an issue with the wheels, it's the overall diameter of the wheel/tire combo. If the overall diamter of the wheel/tire combo is different front and rear, ABS could be affected. The stock wheel/tire combo on a SS is 25.66" in overall diameter (mathmatically). So what ever wheel/tire combo you chose the overall diameter for all wheels should be the same and as close to 25.66" so that you don't mess up the speedo.
