deactivate automatic headlights? Anyone know how to deactivate the headlights automatically coming on in darkness?... I prefer the old fashion way, where im in control <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: deactivate automatic headlights? I don't know where the website went, but it used to be posted on www.ls1.com mod section. Pull out your radio and behind there is a small black plastic box. Simply disconnect the harness(I think its the larger of the two harnesses). Thats it.
Re: deactivate automatic headlights? Here's an easier way:
Lift up the center top of the dash. Unplug the connector next to the red diode from the sensor and plug a resistor up to 10K ohms into the connector. If you twist the sensor about 1/4 turn, it will come out and make unplugging the connector easier. This will only disable the auto headlight feature, not the DRL's.

Re: deactivate automatic headlights? alright cool, any insight on exactly which resistor to buy, I dont want to blow anything up or anything <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="gr_emb.gif" /> and, do I put the resistor in, and then connect it back into the sensor, or... (sorry if this is a stupid question <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

Re: deactivate automatic headlights? And the easiest way is to simply pull your emergency brake up ONE click only while the keys are off. This does not apply enough pressure to engage your rear brakes.
