Default Polished Z06 rims???

Okay, i've seen them painted, and i've seen them in Chrome... but i just found out i can buy them polished!!! ????

Has anyone seen them, or better yet, anyone have pics of them on a SS ????

Or you could polish then have them clear painted.. clear powder paint is nice but always makes them a bit duller (hazy).. What happened to the SSR's??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Polished aluminum wheels are pretty nice looking. But unless they are well clear coated would be a major pain to keep looking nice. IMHO I prefer the high shine of Chrome.

Funny, I always thought that chrome was just as hard to upkeep... , but I'll definitely take your word for it. I was thinking polished since i'm doing aluminum trim all in the inside of the car, and I have that aluminum antenna, just thought it would all tie in.... SSR's are still a high possibility though, as well as chrome Z06's too. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> God, too much to decide on!

Hey JON, checked out your homepage, If you are planning on selling your existing rims, I would be very interested, you know...help ya out with the cost of new ones <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> let me know if you are planning on selling them, they are my most favorite 4th gen wheel <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

Chrome upkeep isn't as bad as you think. Go to an antique shop that specializes in silver, and pick up a can of stuff called Nevr-Dull. That stuff is fantastic for keeping chrome wheels mirror bright. My rims still look brand new, and they're three years old.
