Default Flame Throwers

Ive been plotting to do this for a while. I love old school hot rods, rat rods ect. and Ive always liked the idea of flames coming out the tailpipes. But honest opinions, what do u guys think?or? I have dual tips, so would it look ok with that? plus I was kinda concerned about it melting my paint/bumper. They dont stick out from the bumper. Its the B&B tips.

If you do it hope no cops are around .... wana do it the cheap way? unplug ( not unscrew it out of the manifolds ) your egr on the pass side above the coils (i think theres a clamp on it or something lol).. it will shoot blue flames like a mother ******

( I found this out on accadent whyle putting sparkplugs in my car, i took it off to get to the back spark plug and forgot to put it back on... needless to say my buddy following called and said woa holy **** your cars shooting blue flames like 3 feet )

Lol, gl

if you are gonna do it you will also have to start refering to nitrous as NAAAWWWWSSS!!! Refering to yourself in the third person, and wearing sunglasses at night. Dont forget to go to autozone and pick up a bunch of stickers to slap on your car.

Forget the hate dude, I would do it if I were you. The thought has crossed my mind too but I also am worried about melted plastic. Plus I plan to dump the exhuast under the car with TD's so that wouldn't work. If you think it would be cool then whats to lose if other people don't like it. It's not like it's going to be blowing flames 24/7.

not worth the time and effort imo. you'll show some people once and thats it. put the money to something you will enjoy all the time. plus it probably would melt the bumper.

I wanted to do it in the past, but with my setup now it shoots flames by itself. i cant really do it on command just sitting still, but driving it happens alot. on a highway by myself at night i can see the flash of light around the car like lightning.

Wow, what the hell are you on? Flamethrowers are a nice idea, but to be honest I think they look the best on older cars.
If you still are thinking about it I would lengthen tailpipes as a first.

You could do it on the cheap. All you need are some used plug wires and a coil or two, depending on the type. Go to a junk yard or maybe if you have some layin around. It wouldn't cost much at all. I bet you could do it for less then $20.

I appreciate your opinions, and i understand that it may look different on an F-Body, but frankly, thats what i like. I like to be different. Im not going to go down the street all the time shooting flames, Id like it there for fun, after all, isnt that whats owning an F-Body all about?
So anyways Enigmah and 99 Z, what exactly are you talking about? That would be a good idea so i could try it out first.
And Araber89, I was looking at some kits you could buy online like eatmyflames.com., and suggestions? And thanks for the support ShortChevy.

If I did it like this, how would everything set up? I know my dad was saying back when they just had a sparkplug mounted in their tailpipes.

To do that you have to do something to the timing correct? Thats the only way the car will allow raw fuel to go by and no cats...??

Easy.

Big headers, conservative timing, rich tune, 300 shot.

I was under the impresion the exhaust can still be lit. Especialy if you don't have cats. Thats why a multy spark ignition system is helpful. It burns of the extra fuel that doesn't burn up with the first spark. So, just putting spark plugs in the tail pipes should do it for you. I thought about doing it awhile ago and the way I figured I would do it would be to have bungs welded in the tail pipes, mount the coils on the fraim some where near by. Then run a power source and switch to the coils. I figure its as simple as that right?

I just watched that video and if you do it by just putting plugs in your pipes the flames aren't going to be that big.
