painting brake calipers????
Clean them VERY good with brake cleaner.. I used some high temp primer.. then the paint.. them some high temp clear over my CAMARO decals.. held up great..
Oh, if you want to go the extra mile then take a dremel and smooth out the face of your calipers and remove all the casting marks and such..

What will it look like? chromeish?
How long will it last? Maybe spray on some clear coat?
Thanks for the help!
First use somewhere between 120-220 grit to get the rough stuff off (you'll know it's far enough when the pits disappear)
Next use 400-600 grit to rid the scratches and give you a nice surface.
Then use a polishing compound for aluminum to give a nice shin and finish off with Mothers brand Mag and Aluminum polish.
I used a DA sander for the sanding (of course) and used a hand held 4" Buffing wheel for the polishing and a rag for the Mothers. I need to go back over it with 400+ grit on the DA sander to get rid of some of the scratches but looking at it right now I swear they are almost as shiny as the rims. To keep them nice go over them once in a while with some more Mothers and they'll stay clean.
