Need wheel ideas- not rich either! I am looking for rims to replace my chrome ZR1s, 17x9.5 and 17x11s. The chrome is jut way to heavy with the 315s on the back. I am looking for a good high quality lighter wheel in either 17x9 or 17x9.5 on the front and 17x11 on the rear. Fiske FM5s are sweet but to expensive. Come on buds give me some ideas! <img border="0" alt="[chug]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_chug.gif" /> For a black 99 SS with a ZL1 silver stripe. PS- i had mine before the intimidator put their stripe on. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" />

Re: Need wheel ideas- not rich either! What is the weight difference say between chrome ZO6 rims and AFS ZR1 chrommies? Are there any weight difference between Gm ZO6 rims and aftermarket? Will the GM ZO6 rims fit without and problems?

Re: Need wheel ideas- not rich either! I'd say get the Z06 wheels over the TT 2's. They are much lighter from what I hear. Check on the numbers and you'll see. I'm going with the 18in SSR Integrals on my SS from TireRack. They are light, and look good. AND INEXPENSIVE. I'm living pay check to pay check too. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Need wheel ideas- not rich either! Anyone know the weight difference between chrome ZR1s 17x9.5/ 17x11, chrome ZO6s, and standard ZO6s? If I did go with ZO6 rims I wouldn't want the 18s because tires are a bit more and fewer selection. What is the widest tire that can fit on the 17 inch ZO6 wheel. Also are there any differences between the GM ZO6 rims and the aftermarket ones? Will the GMs be lighter and bolt right up?

Re: Need wheel ideas- not rich either! Maybe Torque Thrust II's. The polished alluminum is a bit lighter then the chrome SS wheels, and you can still go with 17x11's in the rear. Also they are not TOO Expensive. Hope that helps,
