And as for "loss of identity" or "use a TA bumper"...
1) I'm not going to be doing it anyways
2) My car has been called a Corvette by at least three different people.
3) TA bumper - maybe when I drop a 502 crate motor in it.

I think the nostril deletes look great. I think the nostrils were a styling mistake... LT1s didn't have them and neither did the third gens.

And for LS1 Ram-Air.... I think they would look better with only 1 set of nostrils... those being the ones on the Ram-Air hood.

Here's more or less what I was talking about. This is a Chop I did on a T/A bumper tho.

I'll start working on a Firebird bumper chop.

ok, here's a quick one on a Firebird front bumper. I also blended W68 front pieces.

And here's the original:

The top one in post 48 looks pretty nice to me. I agree that most if the options for the vote are too "Camaroy" But what do I know, I went with E-1?

I like that idea a lot! What kind of cover/ducting goes in the hole? Can't let it show the frame or the bumper supports. Photoshops are nice and but it's the practical things like that (what is hiding in the shadows of the pic) that will slow a project, should anybody decide to make a custom bumper like that. I like.

I'm pretty sure there is nothing back there as far as frame or bumper support go. My car is far from stock behind my bumper cover anyways... I can't even remember how all the stock stuff fit inside there, but I am almost 100% sure the bumper support doesnt go that far out.

*edit, ok found a pic of my stock bumper support before I did the FMIC:

It has the old dual intercoolers in that pic, but the bumper support shown above is stock except for the middle there where I cut a section out for my meth pump. If I still had dual intercoolers, it would be an awesome idea to turn them up with a similar bumper design so that the side scoops would funnel air directly thru them.

If you make the bumper out of fiberglass, you can eliminate that styrofoam bumper support, I don't use mine.

I don't use my bumper support anymore either, and I still have my stock bumper cover. So I don't think it has to be fiberglass at all to get rid of the support. Here is what is lurking behind my stock bumper cover now:

You really don't need anything in the openings, just clear any foam you can see. You can ALWAYS use a mesh either black or polished and a set of lights in place will hide most stuff behind the opening. The Firebird chop was done with the F430 in mind! ChevyChad, a lolly pop for you sir! Also I love the chop you did on your T/A bumper. The more I look at it the more I'm tempted to restart a front bumper project. Here's what my T/As Front looks like now:

This is my old Firebird; I had shaved the liscence plate on the front and it had Outlaw hood from Roger's US Exotics.

Hope you enjoy
