Default Painted interior parts

Let me know what you guys think of my painted door switch panels and T/A Bezel. I used GM spray can touch up paint.

Does anyone know how to insert a picture instead of just adding a link??

Ok, how did you paint the T/A bezel? I have been asking on every board I know of. Most people say it cant be done but I have found 3 people that have done it. Is there a way you can remove the clear lens piece off the bezel? Or did you paint it with the lens on? Please help me. I really want to know how you painted the bezel. Thanks.

I actually think it looks pretty damned good, mainly the bezel. Not too sure about the switch plates, but the bezel looks hot. Please enlighten us as to how you did it.

You've got mail Dustin.
I cut the plastic lens off the bezel with a dremel, real low speed and real slow...its a pain in the ***! I actually like the switch panels better, well at least the paint came out better. I pulled the silver bezel out last night and am going to sand all the paint off and repaint it better and put a higher gloss finish on it. Should be done in a week or so. Just remember to sand all the texture off and buy the GM factory paint in a spray can...it matches perfect.

When you talk about sanding the pieces done before you spray them, do you use anything special or just sandpaper. What grit? It seems like just sanding the pieces would scratch the pieces even further.

Word! I've already told you personally, but it looks really good. Ordered LE touch up paint on Monday, should be in soon. I'm doing something similiar to my interior ... Doing a red, and aluminum motif.

I'd just start with a light sand and go from there. It may seem like it's scratching, but after going over them a few times, they'll feel smooth. They'll just look like hell until you paint them. I'll probably sand mine, then primer, then sand again, and then priver, sand and paint.

Looks great, I have a question tho.

Did you re-attach the clear lens or did just just leave it off? I can't really tell from the pics.

Doesn't seem like too good an idea to leave it off, but you never know!

Again, looks great, sweet ride man!

Sand with a few different grits of paper and end with 400 and you will have a great looking part. The lense is reattached with silicone so it can be removed if needed. The blue lights I got from someone on the classifieds page, dont remember what brand, but they are HID type bulbs (not real HID). They light up great and make a almost pure with light. The clear coat from kragen thing is not from CJ it is from a pro model builder that works with me. He does cars, planes, etc... and says that the kragen clear coat works really well and looks like true car clear with a deep wet look. Havent tried it yet, but I would trust this guy.
