I just put the order in for the first one in aluminum all welded up. The ABS one (and my Gorilla Glue) is coming along great

As far as pricing, I have no clue yet. I could give you guys an arts and crafts project like what I am working on today really cheap (if you want ABS plastic), like $60 shipped assembly required

Then I will also offer the high end version (aluminum welded and powdercoated) I just don't have a clue on pricing yet because he hasn't come up with it. Probably $175-$200 which is still $20-$100 less than I am seeing SLP grilles go for so it isn't unreasonable for a waterjet cut, hand welded and powdercoated piece.

I'll also have an option on my site (like I already do on the camera mounts) to have it sent straight to Silver Ghost to get coated whatever color you want...

Yeah I'd actually prefer ABS plastic.

What emblem are you using in the mock-up pic? '69 Chevelle?

So here's some pics of the gluing process (no, I didn't use Elmer's It is actually Gorilla Glue, it expands, which is good for this, and REALLY holds unlike epoxy on plastics) in case any of you do want to save some money and do it yourself...

I'll let it dry overnight (though it is pretty solid now, already dropped it!) then I will clean it up with a dremel, spray it in a textured satin black (because my ABS comes textured on one side, smooth on the other, I want it to all be textured like factory pieces) and then stick it on the car for Super Chevy

After that, it will be for sale for whomever wants it as I'll be sticking the metal one on...

Speaking of which, I have a brand new never installed black billet grille with blue bowtie if anyone wants it. $175 shipped and not a penny less (grille cost me $65 shipped, $40 to powdercoat, the emblem costs $75 shipped and then I had to make a plate to mount it so I have over $180 in it already), I already lost money when I tried to do a GP on these and I'll hang it on a wall before I loose money on it again.

Now I have to go, I have a huge mess to clean up before the wife comes home

Interesting.

I realize it's after the fact, but are the dimensions at all similar to the 87-96 Beretta grilles? Maybe modify one of those to work?

< As I stare at the Beretta grille sitting on a shelf in my apt.

^^Me too! I designed this thing 5 months ago and my guy finally got a chance to start the production process...

Still crazy to think this (business) all started from a thread about trying to get someone to make a splitter for our cars like the GTO's
