How are people painting the plastic portion under the air lid? Don't recall what it's called. But yeah. Can't be PC'd can it? Melty time? So how are people painting it?

you can use any paint and color that you want as long as you make sure to put some clear coats of the high heat engine paint over it. I did this with one of my old cars and it turned out just fine.

I sanded mine and then had it colormatched at a local shop. Just did it last week. I will have to get the picture off my camera. Here you go

They charged me $50. It would have been cheaper if I would have had more items for them to paint. They had to buy the paint. My plan was to buy the colormatched paint (rattle can) and do it myself. I have done some smaller parts and they came out "okay" With the other pieces painted professionally, I wanted this one to match. It would have taken me a couple days to sand, prime, paint, clear, wetsand and buff. They had it done in a day and all I did was drop it off and pick it up. Worth the money to me.

Looks amazing 98zee. i had never thought of doing that because i didn't think a shop would mess with something that small, but i might just go that route now.
