2001 WS6 RIMS??
The wheels on TA's have always been a little dull due to being polished, not chromed.
Yes they should be clear coated. All natural cast metal wheels are typically coated.
You don't have to re-clear them, it would just protect all your hard work.
well im gona try that.. strip that paint off and polsih them.. they say magnesium comes out to a nichol plating finish rather then chrome. but ya the only thing im worried about is if the magnesium can handle rain and shine weather without getting pits and corrode.
I say strip them down, polish the hell out of them with some sort of wheel polish (should be the most inexpensive way) and get some paint shop to re-clear them.
I speak from experience because I had 95 firehawk rims (same as 2001+ ws6 rims, but made by speedline and not GM) that were bare metal that i had to polish all the time. They looked great, but sure were labor intensive.
