Painting Bumper Supports

Painting Bumper Supports I've tried searching this topic but nothing comes up.
I want to paint the bumper supports on the front of my Camaro black. I also want to paint behind the headlights...
Do I just scuff these pieces up with an SOS pad. Do I need primer? Regular black gloss or gloss high temp paint?

I didn't scuff it up. I put on a couple coats of primer and then sprayed the support flat black. You can paint it on the car or take it off. The support comes out pretty easy. I ended up coming back later and spraying clear over it. Which ruined the "flat" look.

i'd scuff them up real good with some 600 grit or so, and do a good wipe down with thinner or some sort of solvent. let that dry do i quick wipe with some tack cloth and hit it with some high quality satin black spray paint like duplicolor. id suggest against gloss black just because it wont be nearly as easy to make look good on an imperfect surface like that.

Krylon Fusion satin. I pulled everything apart and just wiped them down with some paint thinner. I should have used a gray scuff pad, but i didn't feel like going to the store and getting one. Just made sure to do a nice light tack coat before really laying it on.
