I hear ya guys on the money situation totally. I have done all the installs myself to date with the exception of the Baer Camber kit (learning to weld overnight was a bit scary...lol). i love the interior, i've been wanting to put some firebird door panels in my z28 for some time now but i've got this speed addiction that keeps putting off the interior mods. i like the shaved look but isn't there a bolt to remove the console directly under the ashtray, i always remember removing that bolt whenever i was changing the shifter or messing with crap. just wondering, i'm sure you'd thought of that but like i said i was just curious

No problems so far as the other 22 bolts still keep it in place <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

It does clean up the look of the interior alot and since on m6 cars the cup in the holder doesnt work very well any way...Why not just lose it??
Ill give you somew tips if you want to try and shave out yours. Ryan (1FAST98Z) did his recently and it turned out real nice. He im sure would be happy to help out too.

no now that i think about it that bolt only holds the lower part of the console so it wouldn't matter if it was covered or not.
