Still, the issue is the plate. The only logical place to put it is in the filler pannel...and that looks terrible...it's definitely not worth the effort to make a custom bumper, if you'll have to ruin the rear end by sticking the plate in a place which looks terrible.
I'm guessing it's illegal to mount the plate in the window? lol

For the license plate, someone should take the tailight filler and do a recessed license plate holder. It would hold the plate vertically and provide a place to mount lighting, something no ones mentioned yet. If you have no light, youll get a ticket just as fast as having no license plate at all. If you were to mount it on the filler itself, you couldnt add any lighting. Heres a crappy paint. On top of this, i would put a piece of smoked lexan that matched the contours of the original part. Just imagine my part with smoked plastic on top of it.
