One thing you can do that will literally take a minute of your time is add one of our polished or brushed stainless steel intake manifold covers. http://store.specializedstainless.co...t/Detail?no=56

We can also get it powder coated candy red... Let me know if you have any questions.

i painted mine black to match my car last year when we did the gasket. it wasn't too hard to get apart, basically take the fuel rails off and take off a few other things once its off the car, degrease it and tape it off. the guy who did it had definately done a few before. i bought the tape but he had a zip lock bag full of caps for every hole that needed protected on the intake, lol. he taped over the whole front of the intake and taped strips across the fins on the top but left gaps in the middle for the paint to go there. we used a primer, then the black base coat, finally a clear coat. we let each coat sit for ~ 20 mins to dry and then after the clear was applied and dry we removed the tape and polished the strips on top. it was done back in june and this pic is from march of this year.

this was done by jpack of nifba.com (he's also on camaroz28.com, not sure about ls1tech) and i found a pic of his own engine bay showing his red painted intake

here is an LT1 manifold I did for a customer. Mirror red powder and the fins are a silver powder.

These are the only pics i have before my 94 was wrecked.

Before:

After:

I did polish the fins on it afterward. My recommendation is to get it powdercoated. A few times of wrenching will make you realize paint sucks.

Also, I would choose some type of contrasting color myself. Red on red looks kinda crappy IMO.
