Coil relocation questions?
I've seen the Thunder $200 kit, are there any others that look good?
I'm going to mill the valvecover bosses for the coil brackets flush. Do I need any of them left for the mod?
NO ZIP TIES.

I ground my bosses down smooth. The one thing I've noticed is thee are holes where the screws still go into the valve covers. I'm having them filled and will regrind and smooth them again.
I'm making my own plug wires, I got the re location kit from jay fisher pontiac.
To do it again, I'd say, buy the kit from thunder.

i just cut the bosses off my valvecovers yesterday
i guess the perimeter bolt covers are different from the centerbolts, cause when i cut the bosses off, the threaded holes dont go into the cover
so all i have to do is grind them down and polish the area up

That's what I was going to have done, but if there is a suitable filler I'd like to save that step.

moose: are you gonna tig weld em?
I finished grinding down my valvecovers today, and i have 1 threaded hole on each cover, left after grinding away
i havent decided to weld it up or fill it in with an epoxy of some sort
i will say this though.....this work is very damn time consuming.
Took about 45 minutes total to cut all 20 (combined) bosses off, and grind them down.
Then about 1.5 hours on each cover to smooth them out, and i still have some more work to do on that
blah

Yeah I have access to a welder so I will eld them up, but J-B weld might work also..
it took me while also.. I just took my time and had a few beers. I've got holes at every bung.. so I'm going to weld them up..

well once you get them together you could use a different mounting system... take what is there and make it better....This is my idea... threaded rods with some electrical standoffs(instead of wire ties) and then some polished covers with the wires coming out of them.. bling bling mounted to the cowl....

the way im doing it is gonna be blingin too, i hope
im building an aluminum "box", with only the ends of the coils sticking out, so all you see is basically a shiney box with the plug wires coming out of it

I made mine with threaded rods and used nylon nuts for stand offs. Made my own wires from MSD LT1 wires and a universal kit with straight plug boots.
