My car's paint is pretty much flawless EXCEPT, the bottom parts on the inner fenders like right behind the wheels. I scrub and scrub trying to get those bastards clean, and there is still some black(tar?) residue **** on there. They never really look clean, even tried claying and it doesn't help very much. It bugs the **** outta me because I like the car to be spotless, any type of tar remover out there that may be able to help me and not hurt the paint? Any other methods? TIA

Even with a tar remover, you're still gonna have to scrub...ALOT!!!
I use bug & tar removers on the front of my car, and even then the stuff doesn't come off. I find that using a high pressured hose (like at the do it yourself car washes) works to get the really stuck on crap off.
Just an idea.

Try using mineral spirits on there. It won't harm the paint, but it takes off polishes so repolish the area when all the stuff is off.

If it is tar, there is a wax called Liquid Luster that I used to use that removes tar like nothing I have ever seen before. Now you can only buy it online and I am not sure what site I saw it on. Maybe you can do a search for it. Not a bad wax either but Formula113 is way better and easier. Also for the wheel wells, no touch tire spray works pretty well to bring them back.

I use the bug and tar remover in the blue and white can that you can get at any auto parts store. I can't remember the name for the life of me now but I know the can when I see it. It is the cheap stuff in liquid form and it has mineral spirits in it. The trick is to get your rag soaked in the stuff and use lots of it. Let it sit for a little bit and then keep scrubbing. Go over the area that you used it on with a good wax after. Then stay on top of the wheel wells and other areas like the rocker panels. I usually wipe mine down once a week and if you don't let it get bad it is very easy to maintain. I have found that the spray on removers don't work worth a hoot.

I'm a little scared to use it on the main parts of the 30th, but the inside fender lips should be OK. Lifter One Bug&Tar. you can get a big-*** can @ Wally World for like $5. It's citrus based, and "safe fro clear coats" But I'd still be careful!
I used this **** on my wife's mom's white van , whihc had NEVER been washed in 3 years, and sat under a tree most of it's life, not to mention it has like 6 windows from the conversion, and they all have black **** running down from them from the cheap-*** sealant. Let's just say, the van was sparkling white again. It removes everything, easily!! Be sure to rinse it thoroughly though!
