how dark as far as tint

Just paint your windows black 
IMO really dark sides makes the windshield stick out like a sore thumb!
If you can really get away with anything, then tint your windshield really lightly too... like 35%... that would look good.
My perfect tint... 15% rear 20% sides 35% windshield...

if you are gonna break the law you might aswell go all the way. last fbody I tinted got 5% all the way around! looked way bad ***! btw in most states even if your tint is obviously illegal a cop can't pull you over for it because its a secondary offense.

well i settled for 8% and 3% on the back, its quite dark ill post picutres up tomorrow if i have time before work, i love it already though, i appreciate all the input, but i doubt theres much of a noticable difference in between 8% and 5%. i ended up with my buddy doing me a deal i cant pass up anyways, ill be more than likely tinting the windshield too later on once this tint cures for sure.

Verdad Gallardo i got 15% on sides and back, then 20% on the windshield. With the curvature of the windows in our cars the tint looks darker than it really is. You cant see inside my car at all unless sun shine directly in the tops. Now if you want to see out of it at night really good well.....

Do not go anything lighter than 20%. 35% was worthless on the door windows, so now I have 20% on sides and rear. Sides can be darker, but it can be a pain in the *** to backup at night outside urban areas.
1%? I don't think they make that. 2 1/2%,5%,15%,20%,35%,50%. I'm pretty sure 2 1/2% is double limo. If it was any darker you mine as well just paint them. Literally.

Thats what I thought too. Until Mr. HighwayPatrolman busted out his wicked cool meter and it showed 1%. Yay tickets! My car is darker than the 5% that is on friends cars for sure.

yea kansas only lets you do 35% and the cops are ******** in this small town idk how many tickets ppl have gotten and pple having to peel the tint off right there. im gettin mine done tomorrow and havent decided if i can get away with much less
