Default 18 inch rims

if no one has a pic of 275/40's on 18x9.5's, can someone tell me if it's a good combination to use. i didn't want the tire to look too thin on my camaro. any opinions would be greatly appreciated

IMHO 275/40's are too tall. I have 275/35ZR18's on mine. Exact same OD as OEM and doesn't mess up your speedo.

thanks...i didn't think any body cared for a second. that was my first post ever. that combination looks great. i only thought 275/40/18 because chp magazine had an article that said that was the biggest possible combination in front(without messing with anything else?) i think i'll go with the 275/35's...thank you again.

Wow nice Z06 rims.
If I were to get those for my Trans Am, is it possible to get the screaming chicken on the center cap??? Oh yeah how much do those run for and from what understand for a Trans Am, the biggest I could go is 18X9.5 all around correct?

18 x 9.5 will work great all the way around. No rubbing and be able to rotate tires too.

18 x 10.5 will fit in back, but you could have some inner wheel well rubbing issues, minor but annoying. Nothing a 5lb sledge hammer couldn't fix.

I have 275/40ZR18's on my Z28 convertible. It kinda looks funny if your car is not lowered and also I sometimes rub in the front when I turn for some reason but can easily be fixed. If I could do it again, I'd go with 275/35ZR18's. The only reason I went with 275/40ZR18's is because the company I bought the rims from said it would be fine. I havent taken any pictures of my car with the rims because the weather has been bad in Cal, but will post some soon.
