Default good window tinting, what do I expect to pay?

How much would I expect to pay to have my windows professionally tinted, sides, and back of course.

Thanks

Sides, tops, and hatch (one piece, some have to do two seperate pieces due to it being so big and doing one is the more "quality" way to do it I guess) and it was $250. There was another reputable guy in town that does it for $150-$200 I think but he wouldn't go near as dark so I went with the higher price for the look that I wanted.

not only what you want to get tinted, but it also comes down to the type of film you use, anything nanoceramic is going to keep you car cool but it will cost you a pretty penny, try to find tint thats nanoceramic and quote it out i believe the stuff on my car was my by solargard. 239-250 is about right for out here although if you know someone you can get it cheaper

i got quoted $290 from a new shop that opened around town. 30% on windows, t-tops, and hatch (one piece). needless to say i didnt use them because i thought the price was too high; i guess many other people agreed with me because they only lasted 2 months or so

$125.. a quality job is either sanding and covering the dot matrix and using a single piece on the rear window.

Its easy to tint the windows from what I hear but that Dot Matrix looks like crap if they dont do it right.

Some shops take a black vinyl and cover the dot matrix with that. then they cut the tint to fint around that area top to bottom. Sanding dosent remove it all the way but its required to get part of the film to stick. If you have them leave it alone its an easy fix on your own.

Just lay inside the car. carefully take a razor blade and cut around the dot matrix then mask off everything and spray paint the area with a gloss black spray paint and let it dry. or take some black vinyl or something and cover it.

I wouldnt pay more then 150 to get my windows tinted.

Waiting till winter time usually gives you the better deals also.. since many people get it done in the summer. If you can find a shop to tint in the winter then you can usually catch a deal.

Anyone know how the price would change (typically) if they had to strip an old tint job off first (old and shitty) and then re-tint the windows, hatch?

$200 here in orlando for the guy I use, with 3m film, the lummar film is like $160

I would guess add $100 or more to remove old tint first, unless it is the 3m stuff that comes off easier.

$100 here from a friend, side windows and hatch. DO NOT GET SHITTY 2PIECE REAR WINDOWS! If the shop cant do it in one piece, go else where, they shouldn't be tinting if they cant do it in one piece. I have 18% on sides and 15% on rear.

Quick Reply: good window tinting, what do I expect to pay?
