Default For those with SLP shift *****.

I am curious to know how well the SLP shift **** would match in color the OEM leather boot? My car is a 99 and didn't come with the ebony interior but the dark charcoal. So what I wanted to do is buy these two things but first Id like some help. Im concerned about the color difference, if any. Thanks!!

***why are there two different shifter boots for the 6 speed? One is for the 97-99, and the other for 00-02***

I'd never pay that much for that shift ****. I think the Hurst ***** are less expensive. I got mine for $30 shipped on ebay, brand new.

Sorry for the earlier reply. I just couldn't believe that they had gone up that much in price. My Hurst **** is the same in color as my brothers SLP **** and they both blend in well with the shifter boot. If you look at the part number on the link that you posted they are the same. I don't know why they'd be the same part number and be different color.

No problem man, I just really like the OEM shift ***** that came on the 00+ cars. The thing is I have the dark charcoal gray interior(1999) So what I wanna do is get the slp **** BUT i have to make sure it matches with the GM boot that I am gonna buy from ws6store. Its pretty confusing because they have the 93-99 boot separate from the 00-02 boot despite the fact that the part numbers are the same.

The question is which of these two OEM boots will match the slp shift **** the best. Heres what I have and why I wanna upgrade lol.

The color looks to be the same as I've always seen, just the stitching is different than what my '02 formula and '01 WS6 have.
So that leads me to believe in the boot differences.

What are you saying is the same? My shifter boot? I know that the interior isn't the same color as the 00+ cars so my boot isn't either. Im just looking for one that will match the slp **** the best.

If you are spending that much on a boot why not get a quality aftermarket one that will look 100x better and last a lot longer?

As far as difference, the 00-02 is going to be a darker color than the 97-99 style.

I really dont have a problem doing that at all. It's just that I dont know which aftermarket boot will match the SLP the best (in terms of color) I figured since the SLP **** is the same color as the OEM Hurst ****, and the hurst matches the 00+ boots 100%, I figured I can't go wrong if I get that boot?

Here are a couple pics that I just snapped of my factory boot & the SLP ****. I don't know if what I have is considered ebony or charcoal (2002), but it matches pretty damn well as far as I can tell. These first three pics are not mounted in the car obviously cause I have a different set-up installed right now.

Here one of the SLP **** in the car, but I have an aftermarket boot installed now...still matched ok though.

Hope this helps.

Shay

Hey man thanks a lot for posting those pics. Thats exactly what I want, as you can tell the aftermarket one matches but not 100% though. Im gonna see if I can find a late gen f body at the wreckers but doubt it tho.
