Default E brake handle removal

98 camaro 6 speed.

Is there a way to remove the plastic handle on the e-brake without breaking it? Want to do it in carbon fiber, but don't know how to take it off.

Okay, so how far should I drill and what would be the best way to re-secure the handle when I'm ready?

Thanks!

Just drill through the end of the rivet. You can either re-rivet it or put a screw in it.

I want somebody to tell me how to take the e-brake lever off the assembly itself so I can have it chrome....
