I bought a hood about a year ago and it is sitting in storage until the car gets completely repainted. I've never even thought to check its authenticity. Is there any stamps, part numbers, or anything else I need to look for?

that i researched and found...

there is a number sequence stamped on the bottom of the hood, where the mounts to the strut, within that area, i think driver side if i member correctly
