Must be one of the god given powers to the moderators.
Like the new name Steve. Can't wait to see the ride when it's done.

just out of curiosity... what number was your old car?

or

and why an auto for 69?

#4450..
The pinstriper made an error when he put the number on the shock tower and I never got around to having it fixed.. its a good test of people observation powers and you get an A+
Two reasons for the auto (well, three really).. 1. rear end has C-clip eliminators and thus no emergency brake system so the M6 option would have been dicey 2. I want the car to be as good a drag car as it is on the road so the A4 with a Yank 3800 stall should do the trick.. the overdrive will make cruising it a pleasure plus I can always shift if I wanna. 3. This way my wife wont be afraid to cruise it some to events and enjoy it a bit (and thus not mind that I dump HUGE sums of $$ into the project)..
and also, the 4L60E was a MUCH easier swap than the T56 from a technical standpoint.. Its not like I cant switch to an M6 later on down the line.. after all I will have this car a LONG LONG time

Nope.. I will have to find it on the newstands.. Just came out I take it?
Actually the box I took to the chrome shop didnt have much in it.. a bunch of bolts, pulley washers and a few small brackets.. now the batch to the powder shop was HUGE!!
Im trying to do something a litte different this time and use layered colors and accents to make it interesting to look at. The key will be what my artist is able to do with my FRC's (airbrushing)..
I got a promotion at work so Im not "mr. flexability" with my daytime hours now.. gonna cut into the mod time.. I just need to get the wires done and have a few custom braided fittings made. My custom aluminum LS1 radiator (in and out both on the passengers side) should be here next week as well.
Hope I remember how to put it all back together..
