Does anyone make a 200mph speedo for a T/A? I heard that Grantelli makes one for a Z28, but I haven't been able to find a web site for them.

Here you go. http://www.granatellimotorsports.com/gm200mph.htm Also they list them as for the F-Body not just the Z28. I've had mine for a couple weeks now and love them.

I am not at all happy with the Granatelli 200 mph speedometer in my T/A. First it took considerably longer to convert than promised, so I was without my car for almost 2 weeks. Then once I got it in, the overlay started bubbling up the next day. Right now there is a bubble over almost every number and line. It looks like a$$! Granatelli said it is a protective film they were supposed to remove before shipping, and wants me to disassemble the cluster, and peel the film back using a razor blade around the needles. On top of that, my tach now reads considerably slower than before, like 100-150 rpm lower at idle, and it hits the rev limiter at an indicated 5800 rpm in every gear (used to bounce at 6200 with stock gauges). In a T/A, there is also a hole where the pin that stops the needle would go on a Camaro, but the T/A has it on the overlay. Light shows through the hole at night. I will try to post a picture of it later today. I plan to take it apart and fix it tomorrow. If I had it to do over again, I would leave the gauges stock! You can get it converted for $225 here.

Thanks for the picture 98_1LE. It does look like they left a overlay on your cluster. It seems to me that they should repair it and give you some of your money back for your trouble.

All due respect to Granatelli Motorsports, This part was purchased through DMS. Dynmaic had customers sending in clusters everyday. We make it clear we only do clusters on Tuesday and Wednesdays until a special Apt. is made. None the less we did the best we could. As for the clear protective film, YA WE GOOFED on that one. 1st time for everything. We did the best we could. As for rebates, we gave DMS a special discount for the GP and we tried to service all their customers as quickly as we could. Everything is not always "just give me my money back"
Now as for the hole that shoots light through - now there you got me. We never thought about that. We can fix it by putting elec tape over the back to cover the pin hole.
Lastly is the tach. To adjust the needle all you need is the special tool we offer. I would like to say that we take extra caution to hand calibrate each cluster. It's hard to image that we missed by 400 rpm. If you care to adjust the needle we will give you the "needle fork" or you can send the cluster in again.

Granatelli, glad to see you here. I am not trying to flame you or your products, but rather share my experience. You did indeed offer to repair the tach, and I appreciate that, and you have been very professional. I must say that after removing the film, the cluster is very nice looking, especially at night! I think Iam going to just learn to shift early with the tach as I don't really want to pull the cluster again. That is as long as the speedometer checks out with GPS within 5%. If I have any problems I will contact you directly.
