Dashboard,DoorPanel and Console Questions
Dashboard,DoorPanel and Console Questions First off I must say Ive been sitting here with the search button trying mutiple words for each of my questions and wording this different each time. and im not finding my information.
So my Questions are, Im in the process of painting the interior of my car. and I need to know how the dash comes apart. I got the top cover off. the dash pad I guess its called.
But how does the T/A dash come apart? does anyone have a break down somewhere?
As far as the Door Panels go. I got the Panels out. the doors are cut apart. I want to cover the cloth door panel with vinyl or leather. I got the matieral had it laid out and stretched it. and stapled it to the back of the cardboard overtop of the cloth.
I didnt see but one wrinkle which I was pulling out when I realized. I couldnt see how to re-attach this thing to the door?
The online guide to covering this is a bunch of talk and no picutres. I cant figure out how to really get them covered?
I really dont want to screw up my other door panel since this one is all the way apart now lol.
What has to be done to remove the console. I have it all loose. But I dont understand how to get it over the ebrake handle? does it come apart? the screw or bolt in mine is stripped. I didnt notice it until now. but Its gone. is it nessary to have it out before I can get the console out?

and on the console you need to make sure all the bolts are out and pull the e-brake as far as you can it will almost be pointing back, then pick the console up form the rear an tilt it forward and start sliding it back, up and out, you just have to keep moving it around until it slides out..
